The Ancient Silk Road

Starting in Venice, from where Marco Polo started his journey, we invite you to travel the Ancient Silk Road by visiting some of the remarkable destinations along its route. We say “its route” but there are of course many variants and if you would like to include other destinations on a Silk Road for your clients please contact us so we can curate the itinerary which suits your needs.

“Istanbul on the banks of the Bosphorus offers a heady mix of old and new.”

Venice | 2 nights

The city on the water will be the starting point of our journey (private jet will commence and return to London) and we will explore the incredible heritage including Marco Polo’s house. We invite you to a special Welcome Dinner to meet fellow travellers.

Istanbul | 3 nights

The bridge between East and West, Istanbul on the banks of the Bosporus offers a heady mix of old and new and shows a glimpse of what is ahead as we travel East on the Silk Road. Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque are on our list as well as the Basilika Cistern.

Kashgar | 2 nights

This is a far East as we go before making our way back via some of the quintessential Silk Road cities. Our itinerary is curated around the Sunday Market in Kashgar which offers a cornucopia of exotic products.

Samarkand | 2 nights

Believing to date back to the 6th Century BC it feels like a living museum with the awe inspiring Registan Square skirted by 3 madrassas (Religious Schools) and a mosque. A spectacular dinner in the square will round of our stay here.
